Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results.
SEO is the process of improving the visibility or ranking of a web page in the natural/unpaid search results of a search engine. In general, the higher the rank of the page and higher the frequency of its appearance is on the search results of a web page, the more visitors are attracted. However, SEO may be different for different focused categories like image searches, local searches, video searches, academic searches, and news searches or industry specific vertical search engines.
SEO is an effective internet marketing strategy to maximize a page’s visitors and thus maximize the visibility of the product or service. SEO takes into consideration the key words that people generally search for in relation to their product and the preferred search engines for their target audience. Then the keywords and content are identified. Optimization of the page is done by editing the content HTML and associated coding. It increases the relevancy of the content with the keywords and removes any barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the back links volume or inbound links is also a part of SEO strategy.
